Jody has extensive experience at the youth, collegiate, adult amateur, and professional levels. As a 10 year college coach, Jody is widely acknowledged as an outstanding builder of teams - covering all facets from technical, tactical, and functional instructor to match tactician to recruiter. Currently the Associate Head Coach with Seamus O’Connor for Chestnut Hill College’s Men’s and Women’s teams (NCAA Division II), Jody’s collegiate coaching career began with Gloucester County College’s Women’s team where he helped his brother, Dan, post the program’s first winning season and post-season appearance. From GCC’s Women’s team, Jody moved over to the Men’s side as George Hobbins’ first assistant and recruiting coordinator at Camden County College. That partnership proved highly successful as the Cougar’s posted a 40-12-1 record over three seasons. During that period, the Cougars emerged as a junior college power with top 15 national rankings in all three seasons - reaching a high of 4th in his final season. CCC’s Men appeared in the Region XIX play-offs all three years culminating in a Regional Final.   From Camden County College, Jody moved over to Philadelphia University (NCAA Division I) as John Dunlop’s first assistant and recruiting coordinator during Coach Dunlop’s final season. The following year, he returned to Gloucester County College at the invitation of Athletic Director Ron Case to try and revive a perenially losing program. In only his second season, Jody directed the Men’s team to a Region XIX quarterfinal appearance - marking the program’s first winning season and post-season appearance in 10 years. From GCC, Jody moved over to Immaculata University (NCAA Division III) where he and Seamus directed the start up program to a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference quarterfinal appearance in the program’s second season and road upsets over regionally-ranked Cabrini College and Wesley College. On the youth front, Jody directed the Hockession Blizzard boys U16 team to an NCS Delaware State Cup Championship, the Disney College Showcase, CASL Shootout, and a return to the national rankings in 2006. Assisted by Seamus, Jody developed Philadelphia Soccer Club’s Coppa United boys team into a top 35 team nationally with numerous tournament championships including the Jefferson Cup. Coppa United qualified for the Super Y League, USClub Soccer, and SuperClubs National Finals; reached the NCS EPYSA State Cup Finals, and appeared in the Dallas Cup, Surf Cup, and Score at the Shore - among many other national level tournaments. In a personal coaching highlight, he directed Coppa United to a 1-1 draw with the U17 Chinese Men’s National Team which lost in the FIFA U17 World Championship quarterfinals a few months later. Jody has served as both a Regional and National Staff Coach with the SYL’s ODP and as an Area Coach with NJYSA’s ODP. In 2003, Jody served as a staff coach for SuperClub’s National team during their tour of England which featured competitions against England’s EPL and Coca-Cola Division’s youth teams. At the adult level, Jody led Milmay FC to the U20 and U23 USASA Regionals and an MSSL Cup final. He assisted Luis Mendoza with the NJ Stallions (USL/D3) before returning to work with Seamus at the Reading Rage (USL/PDL) and CDSA Future (WPSL). Jody holds a USSF C National Coaching License. He resides in Sicklerville, NJ with his wife, Karin; son, Ryan; and daughters Lauren and Katelynne.
